Work History
Ecotricity - UX Designer
03/10/22 - Present
One of my aims in this role was the design of Ecotricity’s first Salesforce customer portal. My expertise in innovation within user experience and internal workflows was critical to the development of this product. I created Ecotricity’s first UI/UX Guidelines, which addressed inconsistencies within their current and legacy designs. I took the responsibility for researching, negotiating, and implementing WCAG2.2 procedures into the Eco’s UI & UX workflow to ensure a minimum “AA” accessibility standard for all users. Furthermore, I led a company-wide debrief and continuous improvement project regarding the latest design sprints.
I was recognised for my ability to effectively lead and manage projects and implement good UI/UX practice in the design of the customer portal. From this, I was identified to lead the discovery research and requirements gathering for Ecotricity’s B2B Growth project. This included designing the research programme. I conducted rounds of primary internal research, workshops with internal stakeholders, and developed user stories, wireframes, process maps, and other design artifacts for the upcoming development of Ecotricity’s entire B2B business CX. This has improved my ability to lead research projects and manage design work against a rapid project timeline.
Achievements:
•Developing the B2C Salesforce user portal from End-to-End
•Leading user research for B2B Requirements gathering
•Conducting UAT and External testing for prototypes and QA
•Iteratively prototyping with stakeholders and developers
•Facilitating workshops with stakeholders and SMEs
•Creating Eco’s first UI/UX Digital brand guidelines for greater brand cohesion
•Implementing WCAG 2.2 requirements in to Eco designs to improve digital accessibility
91 Untold - Lead Service Design
05-01-22 - 03/10/22
I led a team that provided design-specific consultancy services for charities and private companies. Our work involved developing media projects and design solutions in various delivery methods, such as “FS Command” a hybrid service design, Virtual learning environments and custom CMS.
One of my most impactful projects was developing an onboarding and engagement programme for RACPD, a Royal Artillery Charity. To ensure that we created a solution that met the end-user’s needs, I conducted a discovery research programme to identify the clients painpoints from end user to service provider. The insights from the report led us to adapt the project from a media campaign to a behavior campaign delivered via “FS Command” a hybrid service design. This resulted in a more effective outcome than the previous brief. The outcome was an improvement across the KPIs including greater user engagement, simplified communication between service providers and end users through a custom CMS and a massive improvement in pre-course learning completion (an increase of 60%).
Achievements:
•Conducted solo discovery research that involved interviews and observations for an alterative product pitch.
•Successfully securing the work for the RACPD onboarding and engagement programme
•Service design development that met the client brief and and produce additional benefits to the client
•Facilitated workshops between stakeholders, SMEs and end users.
•Developed the “Workers Handbook” for 91 Untold concerning governance and culture.
•Fully Developed the “91 Untold’s Design methodology.
•Co-wrote 91 Untold’s B-Corp application
•Conducted solo primary research at client space and facilitated workshops with end users and service providers
